From the 1st of August The Wilds is being managed by artFix. artFix is a social enterprise that builds communities through the power of creativity. The spaces run by artfix operate as one-stop platforms, empowering everyone to share their creative ideas with the world. From conception to execution, artFix is the combination of a café, learning center, workspace, and venue, emulating the creative process in four steps – meet, learn, work, show.
Community engagement manager Laura Stone, who you will be meeting around The Wilds often, explains: Meet: Our cosy café is the perfect spot for connecting with fellow creatives and sparking new ideas.
Learn: We provide a wide range of workshops and classes to develop
new skills and foster creativity.
Work: Our workspace is equipped for artists and entrepreneurs to bring their visions to life.
Show: The venue hosts exhibitions and performances, showcasing the creative output of our community.
artFix is already meeting with community members to better understand what is it they are expecting from their local community center, and what needs to change. The founder, George Neris says: “artFix brings together people with a dream at heart and an idea in mind, who appreciate the cozy atmosphere of a local coffeehouse but need more than a table in a café to make their creative vision a reality. In our spaces, you may enjoy the creative content on show or create your own. We are doing our best so that, at artFix, everyone can live everyday life as a work of art.”
The dedicated team behind artFix also includes Eduardo Vicente Dias, the operations manager, who ensures smooth day-to-day operations. You will be seeing the team around the building every day, but you are also welcome to arrange an appointment with them to meet and
discuss. artFix is also planning an open day on the 28th of September to
which everyone is invited to meet the team, and experience the creative energy that defines artFix. If you want to arrange a quick one-on-one meeting on the day or any other time, please email thewilds@artfixlondon.com with a few words about yourself and what you would be interested in discussing.
